**Responsibilities of the Customer Care Technician Role**
As a Customer Care Technician on our 3rd shift team, you will be responsible for:
* **Providing customer service and issue/resolution**: You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, and you'll be responsible for resolving any issues or concerns they may have.
* **Partnering with Pharmacy to obtain necessary prescriptions for controlled drugs**: You'll work closely with our Pharmacy team to ensure that our customers receive the medications they need.
* **Resolving rejections, denials, and PA's associated with all adjudicated Medicaid, Medicare D, or Private Insurance claims**: You'll be responsible for resolving any issues related to claims processing and ensuring that our customers receive the benefits they're entitled to.
* **Connecting with prospective patients for Onboarding and assisting with Patient follow-up and inquiries as directed by the Pharmacist In Charge**: You'll be responsible for onboarding new patients and ensuring that they receive the support and care they need.
* **Serving as the communication liaison regarding medication or resident coverage issues with Executive Directors, Pharmacist in Charge, Responsible Parties, Physicians, PDP's/Insurance plans**: You'll be the primary point of contact for our customers and will work closely with our internal teams to resolve any issues or concerns.
* **Providing training to other staff necessary to successful performance, company standards and expectations and cross-functional awareness and proficiencies**: You'll be responsible for training and developing our team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
* **Maintaining confidentiality of all patient and/or employee information to assure patient and/or employee rights are protected**: You'll be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of our customers' and employees' personal and medical information.
* **Assisting with special projects as needed**: You'll be flexible and willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities as needed.
**What We're Looking For**
We're looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and making a difference in the lives of others. Here are the qualifications and skills we're looking for:
* **High School diploma or equivalent**: You'll need a high school diploma or equivalent to be considered for this role.
* **Associates degree preferred**: An associates degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.
* **Licenses/Certifications**: You'll need to be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Kentucky or be eligible to register.
* **Experience**: One year of pharmacy customer service experience is required, with a preference for experience in a healthcare, senior living, pharmacy, or long-term care environment.
* **Minimum one year multi-facility experience preferred**: We're looking for someone with experience working in a multi-facility environment.
* **Exemplary computer skills**: You'll need to have excellent computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
* **Strong communication and interpersonal skills**: You'll need to be able to communicate effectively with our customers, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
* **Ability to work in a fast-paced environment**: You'll need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
