**About the Role**
As a Mortgage Customer Service Advisor – Loan Servicing and Loss Mitigation Specialist, you will serve as a single point of contact for current and delinquent borrowers, providing guidance and support throughout the loan servicing process. You will work closely with inter-department teams and other business lines to resolve complex borrower requests, analyze situations, and make informed decisions that meet regulatory requirements. Your exceptional communication skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities will enable you to build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions that meet their unique circumstances.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide high-level customer service to borrowers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient resolution of borrower requests
* Review borrower information, assess situations, and make informed decisions that meet regulatory requirements
* Foster a positive team environment, promoting a culture of excellence, and encouraging open communication
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions
* Escalate special situations or problems, as necessary, to ensure timely resolution
* Consistently meet quality control, adherence, and data integrity standards, utilizing required systems
* Provide accurate information to borrowers regarding loss mitigation options, collection of sensitive documentation, and applicable deadlines
* Assist borrowers with making payments, negotiating payment arrangements, and setting up payment plans
* Other duties as assigned by supervisors to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
**Essential Qualifications**
* College graduate preferred or equivalent experience in a related field
* 1-2 years of experience in banking, consumer lending operations, or customer service
* Strong knowledge of consumer banking, mortgage loans, credit bureaus, real estate, and income calculations
* Excellent computer skills, with strong knowledge of email and Microsoft Office
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities
* Ability to promote the arenaflex image and maintain a professional attitude
* Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience in default servicing, collections, loss mitigation, and regulatory compliance
* Knowledge of FDCPA, UDAAP, FFIEC regulatory guidance
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a contact center environment, wearing a headset
