California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Analyst I on the Benefit Services Team. The role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of various postretirement programs and performing analytical tasks in administering the Medicare Premium Payment Program and Dues & Insurance Deductions.
Responsibilities
- Performing a wide range of duties and analytical tasks required in administering the Medicare Premium Payment Program (MPPP) and the Dues & Insurance Deductions (DID)
- Working in a team environment exercising a high degree of initiative and good judgment in interpreting California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) law and applying the law appropriately in accordance with established policies and procedures
Skills
- Ability to apply excellent time management skills for efficient completion of projects and prioritize competing assignments
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of staff and management
- Ability to work effectively as a team player and work collaboratively across teams
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines that are non-negotiable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel (experience with formulas preferred)
- Current Analyst I examination
- Authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment with CalSTRS
