**Key Responsibilities**
As a Ramp Agent, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of cargo, baggage, and mail to and from aircraft. Your daily tasks will include:
* Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, while ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.
* Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
* Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
* Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to the customer's destination.
**Work Environment and Scheduling**
As a Ramp Agent, you'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying shifts, including early morning to overnight shifts. Each station is unique, with its individual flight schedule, and you'll work between 20 and 40 hours per week based on your seniority. You'll be required to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
**What You Need to Succeed**
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following minimum qualifications:
* Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
* Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
* Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
* Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in Australia.
* Have a valid driver's license.
* Proficiency in English.
* Pass a physical ability test (PAT).
* Ability to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
