As an LPN at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. If you are a motivated and compassionate healthcare professional with a passion for delivering exceptional care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Key Responsibilities** As an LPN at arenaflex, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: * Assess resident complaints and determine action, notifying supervisor when necessary * Admit and transfer residents to and from other units or outside sources * Administer oral and/or injectable medication and controlled medications in accordance with facility policy, and within their scope of practice as defined by Florida law * Observe for side effects or adverse effects to medication and report to assigned supervisor, or further assessment and treatment * Prepare paperwork as required for consults within facility and outside appointments * Coordinate residents' appointments with unit staff to ensure medications are appropriately timed as need for resident movement to and from the unit * Provide emergency medical/psychiatric treatment within scope of practice as defined by facility and Florida law and notifying supervisor for further assistance * Complete incident reports factually and objectively, within the appropriate time frame as defined by the facility * Complete progress notes on resident care within the appropriate time frame as defined by the facility * Advocate for residents' recovery and safety * Maintain appropriate and professional behavior during interactions with residents', supervisors, and other staff members * Display professionalism throughout employment including, but not limited to, arriving to work on time, maintaining an accurate time sheet, and maintaining professional appearance as defined by facility policy **Essential Qualifications** To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following essential qualifications: * Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire * Must hold unencumbered licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse * One year of nursing experience, strongly preferred * Must be CPR certified, or able to complete training * Must be able to complete full orientation at time of hire * Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of position including ability to lift and carry 20 lbs., remain alert while on duty, and work 16-hour shifts on occasion **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: * Experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility * Certification in a specialty area, such as gerontology or pediatrics * Bilingual or multilingual skills **Skills and Competencies** To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment * Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong teamwork and collaboration skills **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
