**Key Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
* Greeting visitors, ascertaining the nature of their business, and escorting them to the appropriate personnel
* Answering telephone calls, providing information to callers, and/or routing calls to the appropriate personnel
* Receiving and securing all incoming laboratory samples mailed or collected through courier services or customer drop-off
* Entering laboratory worksheet/sample submission form information into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
* Maintaining contact with customers and working with the laboratory team for any customer communication
* Receiving and disseminating all inbound laboratory supplies to applicable laboratory departments
* Performing 100% proof checks on daily paperwork for ISO compliance
* Supporting the laboratory by creating purchase orders and placing orders for the laboratory
* Coordinating and communicating all customer courier stops and pick-ups
* Supporting the laboratory operations and customers by picking up and dropping off samples and supplies, when needed
* Responsible for filing and keeping documents organized
* Extensive database entry and supporting the laboratory operations by performing any administrative and clerical duties, including customer certificates
* Assisting in other assigned duties as needed
**Schedule**
As a part-time Customer Service Representative, you will typically be required to work afternoons from 1pm-7pm, with flexibility to accommodate the department's needs. Availability to work weekends will be necessary.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A high school diploma or GED; an AA degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Biology, or Chemistry is preferred
* Excellent customer service skills and a people-oriented approach
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
