**The Role**
As a Customer Service Representative in our Patient Registration team, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing a warm and welcoming experience that sets the tone for their hospital stay. Your primary responsibility will be to collect patient information accurately and efficiently, while also providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or questions our patients may have. You will work closely with our clinicians and nurses to ensure a smooth registration process, often in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Collect patient information accurately and efficiently using our advanced technology platform
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their concerns and questions in a compassionate and empathetic manner
* Work closely with clinicians and nurses to ensure a seamless registration process
* Manage multiple screens and programs simultaneously, typing quickly and accurately to collect patient information
* Handle phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Build rapport with patients and their families, providing a warm and welcoming experience
* Collaborate with our team to resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during the registration process
**Requirements:**
* High School Diploma or GED
* Excellent customer service experience
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to type quickly and accurately
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with technology
* Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role
* Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) or other healthcare software
