The Onboarding Analyst will ensure new customers are onboarded safely and efficiently while adhering to regulatory requirements, collaborating with various teams to provide a seamless experience.
Responsibilities
- Review new customer onboarding applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal and bank partner requirements
- Verify customer identities and business documentation as part of KYC/KYB onboarding
- Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
- Conduct sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening during the onboarding process
- Assess AML and onboarding risk and escalate higher-risk applications when appropriate
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to obtain additional documentation or resolve onboarding issues
- Maintain accurate onboarding records, audit trails, and compliance documentation
Skills
- High agency and a strong sense of ownership. You proactively identify problems, take initiative, and follow through without needing constant direction
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to make thoughtful, risk-based decisions
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment where processes continue to improve over time
- Exposure to AML, customer onboarding, compliance, fraud, or risk operations is a plus, but not required
