Position Overview
careerzynith is currently seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and analytically curious Remote Data Analyst to join our Studio Insights and Analytics team. Reporting to the Senior Director, you will work closely with the careerzynith Product teams to collect, organize, and interpret data, while also supporting quantitative and qualitative research initiatives for our key partners. The primary focus of this role centers on careerzynith Product and Consumer Experience tracking projects within the broader careerzynith Streaming suite.
This is a part-time position offering $23/hour, with a hybrid work arrangement: in-person collaboration from Monday through Thursday and remote flexibility on Friday. The role is based out of our Burbank, USA office and is open to candidates who thrive in a high-energy environment, love working with data, and are eager to make a measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research activities, including the collection, preparation, and management of data, as well as extraction and analysis from multiple sources to build summaries, tables, and report sections.
- Combine disparate data sets using SQL to support the day-to-day operations of the careerzynith consumer experience tracking project.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to conduct research at careerzynith, communicating project objectives, business requirements, and timelines to efficiently prioritize, optimize, and enhance our datasets.
- Build and maintain relationships with research partners within the team and across multiple departments of the organization, as well as with external vendors.
- Analyze and prepare recurring and ad hoc reports using both quantitative and qualitative data for various teams across product marketing, engagement, and product strategy at careerzynith and the careerzynith Streaming Pack.
- Manage assigned projects, execute quality assurance processes, and report tasks and status to supervisor(s) to ensure completion within established timelines.
- Work closely with the Senior Director and broader team to ensure that every insight is strategically actionable and drives key decision-making across the organization.
- Collaborate with the team and analytics groups within Snowflake and Databricks to streamline workflows and improve data accessibility.
- Maintain current verbal and written knowledge of data elements, requirements, and industry best practices.
- Respond to critical data requests from internal clients in a timely, accurate manner.
- Support the presentation of findings based on research conducted and contribute to related business discussions and strategy sessions.
- Stay at the forefront of SVOD and In-Home industry trends in a constantly evolving landscape, sharing insights that inform long-term strategy at careerzynith.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Statistics, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to extract and join disparate data sources confidently.
- Demonstrated ability to extract data and combine it with multiple sources to develop a rich, comprehensive picture for the business.
- Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical skills with a passion for solving complex problems.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-speed, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations.
- Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to perform effectively in a setting with tight deadlines and constant change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in data processing tools such as SPSS, Q, MarketSight, or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience with survey tools such as Decipher, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or comparable software.
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar systems.
- Working knowledge of R, Python, SAS, STATA, or comparable programming languages.
- Postgraduate degree in Market Research, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Background in quantitative analysis, either on the vendor side or client side.
- Experience analyzing survey data to extract meaningful, business-driving insights.
- Familiarity with subscription-based business models and strategy within streaming, media, or related industries.
