The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the full cycle accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining vendor relationships and supporting operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Process day-to-day accounts payable transactions, including invoice receipt, coding, data entry, and approvals
- Execute weekly payment runs and ensure adherence to payment terms
- Maintain vendor records and assist with onboarding documentation
- Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal teams
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations
- Maintain organized and audit-ready AP documentation
- Support cash flow tracking and forecasting
- Assist with sales tax reporting and filing
- Support property tax, permits, and licenses tracking
- Maintain insurance and administrative financial documentation
- Monitor AP aging and flag urgent items
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Support month-end close activities
- Perform additional administrative and financial tasks as assigned
Skills
- 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
- Proficiency in accounting systems, attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, dependable, proactive, and a collaborative team player aligned with company values
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- QuickBooks Online experience preferred
