Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency dedicated to pairing top-tier talent with outstanding remote job opportunities. We are currently seeking a Head of Retention for a US-based company. This remote position allows you to contribute creatively while working from anywhere.
This is a director-level role for someone who truly understands how retention drives revenue in ecommerce. You don’t just run email and SMS — you architect full-funnel lifecycle systems that increase LTV, repeat purchase rate, and subscription growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and lead the full retention strategy across email, SMS, subscriptions, and lifecycle marketing
• Build and optimize end-to-end customer journeys (acquisition → post-purchase → repeat → subscription → winback)
• Drive meaningful increases in LTV, repeat purchase rate, and retention revenue
• Manage and evolve email and SMS programs (flows, campaigns, segmentation, deliverability)
• Design and optimize subscription strategies (conversion, retention, churn reduction, upsells)
• Analyze and improve all key retention metrics (cohorts, churn, AOV, purchase frequency, CAC:LTV)
• Build advanced segmentation and personalization strategies
• Continuously test and iterate on offers, messaging, and timing
• Collaborate with creative, growth, and product teams to align lifecycle with brand and acquisition
• Own retention forecasting and performance reporting
Proven experience at a director or head-of level in retention/lifecycle marketing. Deep understanding of full-funnel lifecycle strategy, not just channel execution. Strong experience with email + SMS platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript, etc.). Extensive experience with subscription models (DTC subscriptions, churn reduction, upsell flows). Track record of significantly improving retention metrics and LTV. Experience in health, wellness, or similar consumer categories. Remote Working for US Company. Competitive Salary.
