They're the heart and soul of the organization and our "People Before Profits" mentality shines through in every department. Kind Lending is growing and is looking for top mortgage professionals who value opportunity, lasting business partnerships, and who live out our KIND mindset. Kind Lending is determined to provide the best service in the industry while also providing homebuyers with a great selection of products to enhance their buying experience. Backed by our trusted leadership team, Kind Lending's friendly and professional model puts the “fun” in funding. Position Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Government Insurer to manage the final stage of the mortgage process for FHA, VA, and USDA loans. You will be responsible for reviewing closed loan files to ensure they meet all agency guidelines, submitting packages for insurance endorsement, and resolving any technical or documentation errors. Your goal is to ensure 100% compliance so the company can successfully obtain Mortgage Insurance Certificates (MIC), USDA Loan Note Guarantee (LNG) or Loan Guaranty Certificates (LGC). Responsibilities: • Audit & Review: Conduct a comprehensive audit of closed FHA, VA, and USDA loan files to ensure all required documents are present, signed, and compliant with specific agency requirements. • Agency Submission: Prepare and submit electronic insurance applications via FHA Connection (FHAC) and VA LGY portals within required regulatory timeframes. • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve "Notice of Returns" (NORs) or deficiencies by coordinating with Underwriting, Closing, or the borrower to obtain missing information. • Upfront Fees: Verify that Upfront Mortgage Insurance Premiums (UFMIP), VA Funding Fees, and USDA Guarantee Fees have been accurately calculated and paid. • Data Integrity: Ensure the data in the Loan Origination System (LOS) matches the final closing documents and agency portals. • Tracking: Maintain a pipeline report of loans pending insurance and provide regular updates to management on aging files or systemic issues. Qualifications: • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in mortgage post-closing, specifically focused on FHA/VA/USDA insuring. • Technical Skills: Proficiency with FHA Connection and VA Portal; experience with LOS platforms (e.g., BlueSage, Encompass, Byte, or MeridianLink). • Knowledge: Deep understanding of HUD 4000.1 guidelines, USDA and VA Lenders Handbook. • Detail-Oriented: A "surgical" eye for detail—you notice the missing date or the slightly blurred signature that others might miss. • Deadline-Driven: Ability to manage a high-volume pipeline while meeting strict agency submission windows to avoid late fees. Preferred Skills: • Experience handling FHA/VA audits or QC responses. • Strong communication skills for interacting with government case managers. Pay Disclosure: The starting base pay range for this position is $23/hr. The actual base is dependent on many factors such as: work experience, business needs, market demands, and other compensation components. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
