The Vice President, Government Services is responsible for establishing, leading, and executing Hetherington Group’s government services capability. This role ensures the successful delivery of contracted services while building a scalable, repeatable model for future government engagements.
This individual operates as both an executive leader within Hetherington Group and as the Program Manager on government contracts, accountable for delivery, client engagement, and overall program performance. Success in this role is defined by consistent execution, strong client trust, and the ability to position Hetherington Group for expanded opportunities within government and defense markets.
Key Responsibilities
• Own delivery of government contracts, ensuring assessments, monitoring, suitability, and diligence outputs meet timelines, quality, and requirements
• Serve as Program Manager, maintaining direct engagement with government stakeholders and ensuring clear communication and mission alignment
• Establish structure, workflows, staffing models, and reporting processes to enable efficient and consistent government service delivery
• Manage program financial performance, ensuring cost control, labor utilization, and delivery models support sustainable profitability
• Develop and refine a repeatable delivery model that scales across contracts and government organizations without reinvention
• Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring performance meets expectations and positions Hetherington Group as a trusted partner
• Identify and support opportunities to expand scope, secure follow-on work, and contribute to additional government contracts
• Translate commercial services into a government-ready model aligned with operational, security, and reporting expectations
Qualifications
• Experience leading or managing government or defense-related programs or services
• Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver complex, client-facing work
• Experience building or scaling operational capabilities or service delivery models
• Strong client engagement skills with the ability to operate in high-trust environments
• Ability to manage financial performance, including cost, margin, and resource planning
• Familiarity with government contracting environments preferred

Compensation
This position offers a base salary of $200,000 annually. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonus compensation based on program and division performance, contract execution, and contribution to business growth.

The initial focus is successful delivery of the first contract while building a foundation for repeatable and scalable government work.
