**Job Summary**
As a Staff Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in performing daily data handling tasks and independently managing small to medium-scale projects, providing high-quality contributions to research analysis. You will work closely with Item Success, Record Management, and Providers to ensure the successful delivery of research projects, meeting ISO and global data handling standards. **Key Responsibilities**
* Work with Item Success, Record Management, and Providers to ensure the successful delivery of research projects, meeting ISO and global data handling standards.
* Lead execution on daily requests for data analysis and control of primary and secondary data to support Provider and internal requests.
* Assess demands for data services and understand the requirements of research projects.
* Prepare, plan, focus on, and communicate effectively to ensure expectations are met and delivered on time.
* Check information databases for intelligent consistency, reformatting, and updating information databases for downstream analysis.
* Manipulate data into the right format for analysis purposes using Excel or SPSS (weighting and handling as necessary).
* Be a proactive member who provides counsel or suggestions for improvements and automation, where necessary, to improve overall efficiency and delivery.
* Perform other impromptu tasks and assignments as appointed.
* Create and communicate best practices to colleagues, across departments, to continuously improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of our product offerings and processes.
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, or business administration).
* 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across departments.
* Proficiency in Excel, with experience in data manipulation and analysis.
* Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R).
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, or business administration).
* Experience with data mining and machine learning techniques.
* Familiarity with data governance and quality control principles.
* Certification in data analysis or a related field (e.g., Certified Data Analyst, Certified Analytics Professional).
