Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Proofreader & Customer Representative Specialist to join our remote team. As a key member of our editing and customer service team, you'll be responsible for reviewing and editing written content across various media and industries, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality. You'll also provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support via phone, email, or chat. Key Responsibilities
As a Proofreader & Customer Representative Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Proofreading Written and Digital Work Product: Review and edit written content, including marketing materials, internal documents, emails, press releases, and website text, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Crosschecking References and Data: Verify the accuracy of referenced facts, double-check cross-referenced materials, and maintain source and reference logs to support your work.
- Reviewing Output for Consistency: Ensure that content is consistent with company-wide work, campaign, product, or brand guidelines.
- Collaborating with Team Members: Attend team meetings, provide constructive editorial input, and communicate with team members to effectuate consistent, accurate, and high-quality work product.
- Improving Editing Processes: Suggest process improvements and evaluate and recommend changes to create efficiencies.
- Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide support via phone, email, or chat.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree: In English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Writing and Editing Skills: Proven writing and editing skills, with the ability to write clearly, concisely, and accurately.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or other productivity software.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, with the ability to catch errors and inconsistencies.
- Quick Reader: The ability to read and edit quickly, without sacrificing quality.
- Resourcefulness: The ability to track down resources and answer questions or issues in the copy that may require additional research.
- Multitasking: The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once, with flexibility and persistence.
Preferred Qualifications
