Your primary responsibilities will include: * Answering incoming phone calls from healthcare providers regarding benefits and eligibility, billing and payments, authorizations for treatment, explanation of benefits, and other related inquiries * Creating written correspondence if issues were not resolved during the call, ensuring clear and concise communication * Conducting provider outreach phone calls to collect missing information from medical providers, demonstrating a proactive and customer-centric approach * Routing inquiries needing further investigation to the appropriate department and conducting routine case checks as needed, ensuring seamless issue resolution * Completing all relevant documentation necessary to track provider issues and facilitate the reporting of overall trends, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records **Required Skills/Experience** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * 2+ years of remote phone customer service experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of healthcare terminology and concepts * 2+ years of prior work-from-home experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service in a remote environment * Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders * Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience using CRM software and other customer service tools **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: * 2+ years of healthcare industry experience in a Provider (hospital/doctor's office) setting, with a strong understanding of healthcare operations and workflows * Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems * Certification in customer service, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Customer Service Manager (CCSM) **Work Environment and Schedule** As a remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative/Call Center Specialist, you'll work from the comfort of your own home, with a flexible schedule that allows you to balance work and personal responsibilities. You'll be required to work 8-9 hour shifts, with some weekend days possible.
