**Key Responsibilities**
As a Product Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Modern Design, Project Management, and other design groups, to conceptualize and develop new products
* Creating, modeling, assessing, and investigating new designs to ensure they meet our high standards for quality, functionality, and aesthetics
* Leading design reviews and contributing to peer design reviews to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of design excellence
* Presenting your work to cross-functional teams and leaders to ensure that our products meet the needs of our customers
* Producing detailed specifications and drawings to ensure that our products are manufactured to the highest standards
* Communicating with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to optimize our products for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance
* Directing failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to identify underlying causes and implement corrective actions
* Approving and describing designs through various iterations to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance
* Developing deep technical expertise by taking design from concept to production
* Ensuring that our products meet corrective and functional requirements to deliver top-tier equipment to our customers
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or a related field
* Strong foundation in design principles and a passion for design
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and critically
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and ideas
* Experience creating parts and assemblies in 3D CAD software
* Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and other related design methodologies
* Working knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
* Adaptability and comfort working in a rapidly evolving environment
* Ability to travel globally (up to 20%)
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Mechanical Design or a related field
* Experience in product development, with a focus on home and music experiences
* Strong understanding of design for sustainability and environmental impact
* Experience with design for accessibility and inclusive design
* Strong understanding of design for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness
* Experience with design for performance and reliability
