**Job Summary**
As a Network Protection Examiner Understudy, you'll work closely with our Incident Response Team to identify, mitigate, and recover from digital threats. You'll collaborate with experts to analyze breaches, develop quick response plans, and enhance security measures. **Key Responsibilities**
* Work with business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
* Ensure solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business processes, and compliance with departmental standards.
* Manage project timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
* Serve as a resource to facilitate effective communication between business and IT teams.
* Participate in system and acceptance testing.
* Scope of work may vary depending on the project team.
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
* Basic knowledge of data security and risk management principles, theories, and practices preferred.
* Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm preferred.
* Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow Administration, Risk and Compliance (GRC) preferred.
* Essential knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement preferred.
* Major understanding of project management systems, including the ability to design, manage, and maintain a complex, organization-wide program preferred.
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders preferred.
* Basic knowledge of technical environment required.
* Openness to Agile philosophies preferred.
* Coursework or experience related to Network Security preferred.
* Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines preferred.
* Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year preferred.
* Experience resolving business issues in a capstone or case competition preferred.
* Functions well in a culture that is open, direct, conscious, kind, and empathetic.
* Fast learner, self-motivated, team-oriented, with a sense of humor.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a cybersecurity or IT-related field.
* Knowledge of network security protocols and procedures.
* Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
* Experience with threat intelligence and incident response.
* Certification in CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
