**Job Summary**
As a Data Entry Clerk/Excel Professional, you'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data into our computer systems, verifying information from scanned documents, and performing other related tasks. You'll work independently, with a high level of accuracy, to complete assigned tasks within strict deadlines. **Key Responsibilities**
* Enter data using a standard keyboard, with a minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute and accuracy
* Verify data from scanned documents into one of two processing systems, checking for accuracy and making corrections as required
* Work independently with a high level of accuracy, completing assigned tasks within strict deadlines
* Possess excellent comparison skills, with the ability to sit for extended periods reviewing and keying on-screen data
* Work in a fast-paced production environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
**Special Requirements**
* Must be able to alpha-numeric key a minimum of 45 words per minute with no errors
* The most qualified applicants will be required to take a typing test to verify this skill

**Qualifications**
To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following minimum qualifications:
* Experience entering data into a computer system
* Experience entering or verifying confidential or Personal Identifiable Information (PII) (such as tax records, medical records, name, address, social security number, telephone number, email address, etc.)

**Compensation and Benefits**
The starting pay for this role is $17.51 hourly ($36,421 annually), plus excellent benefits. Current state employees pay will be based on the provisions in the Compensation Plan. A twelve-month probationary period is required.
