In this role, you'll be responsible for handling intake calls, determining eligibility for FMLA and other leaves, and making initial case decisions. You'll also perform leave follow-ups, update applications, and respond to inquiries from employees and employers. If you have a strong customer service background, excellent communication skills, and a keen attention to detail, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Key Responsibilities** * Handle intake calls for FMLA claims and leaves, determining eligibility and making initial case decisions * Promptly review new FMLA and Company Leave notices and act upon them within documented timeline standards * Complete eligibility decisions during intake and gather pertinent data from employees or supporting systems * Identify and evaluate leave specifics, making initial case decisions to approve or deny * Perform leave follow-ups with employees, employers, or healthcare providers, including recertification of serious health conditions and intermittent claim tracking * Conduct standard communication (phone calls, emails, and letters) with appropriate parties throughout the duration of the leave * Consistently update FML and Leave applications to accurately reflect leave status and ensure diary documentation exists * Respond to employee and employer inquiries regarding the status or availability of FML and Company leave **Essential Qualifications** * 1-2 years of customer service experience, phone experience, or equivalent (customer-facing experience in fast food, retail, or other industries also considered) * High school diploma or equivalent required * Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office experience * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with FMLA and leave management processes * Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) * Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR)) * Bilingual or multilingual skills (English and Spanish, for example) **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong customer service skills, with a focus on empathy and understanding * Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills.
