Job Description We are seeking a dependable UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) "Drone" Pilot to support UAS research and development (R&D) test flights throughout the Metro Detroit area, including operations on military installations. The selected pilot will operate a variety of unmanned aircraft systems under the supervision of the Chief Pilot and will work under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) due to the nature of the projects. Key Responsibilities • Support UAS R&D test flight operations. • Operate a variety of UAS platforms under the supervision of the Chief Pilot. • Assist with pre-flight, flight, and post-flight activities. • Responsible for flight logistics. • Follow operational, safety, and mission requirements at all times. • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while working under NDA. • Commute to flight locations throughout the Metro Detroit area & Michigan military installations. Qualifications • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate. • Legal, non-expired drivers license • Able to report for operations with as little as 48 hours notice. • Must have reliable transportation. • Must be comfortable working outdoors and in field environments. • Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented. Preferred Qualifications • Prior drone pilot, sensor operator, or flight test support experience. • UAS or aviation experience or background. • Military operations experience. This part-Time role is starting at $20.00–$25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
