Your team harnesses a blend of banking and financial data sources including proprietary McKinsey data to help clients identify strategic opportunities, improve their financial planning, or benchmark their performance.<br><br>Your team is responsible for helping clients around the world define their strategy and value proposition, leveraging innovative data analysis and insights into retail banking customer segments.<br><br>You will collaborate with teams across McKinsey and clients worldwide. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, responsibility and closely collaborate with McKinsey colleagues.<br><br>Your focus will be on measuring the value of customer segments globally and helping banks define their strategies and value propositions toward target segments.<br><br>In this role, you will split your time developing and delivering proprietary assets, supporting clients and engagement teams with your asset-backed expertise - applying your work in client setting.<br><br>You will lead deep-dive research on a variety of topics around banking, customer demographics, and regional trends. You will analyze large amounts of information in a quick and efficient manner and communicate key strategic insights from these analyses to both internal and external stakeholders.<br><br>You will devote time to developing a variety of proprietary databases, statistical and market models, and documents to help inform the decision making of both our clients and fellow McKinsey colleagues.<br><br>Your position will allow you to further build your skills in data/analytics, critical thinking, synthesis, and product development, while working in a dynamic business environment. In addition to getting direct exposure to clients, you will receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from more senior colleagues.<br><br><strong>Your qualifications and skills</strong><br><br><ul><li>Bachelor's or higher degree in economics, banking, finance, or other related fields</li><li>5+ years of experience in banking, finance, private equity, venture capital, or other closely related area</li><li>Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion</li><li>Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning</li><li>Exceptional time management to meet your responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous work environment</li><li>Strong analytical capability and ability to synthesize complex relationships</li><li>Outstanding attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy</li><li>Ability to work efficiently under pressure, and keep tight deadlines - Willing to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environment</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to process complex information</li><li>Experienced user of Excel; R, Python, other advanced analytics tools, or programming knowledge are a plus</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills in English</li></ul>
