<p><strong>Job title:</strong> Senior System Analyst</p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Toronto, Ontario OR Winnipeg, Manitoba.</p><p>12-month contract.</p><p><strong>Salary: </strong>$90 - $95/hr depending on experience.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Reporting to the <strong>Application Delivery Leader</strong>, the Senior Systems Analyst (SAN) is responsible for the <strong>full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)</strong> for assigned delivery items. As a contributing member of a <strong>3-person SAN team</strong>, you will work across requirements gathering, solution design, build, testing, and post-production support for <strong>Advisor Compensation policy and model updates</strong>.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Delivery & Operations</p><ul><li>Own <strong>end-to-end delivery</strong> of assigned functional changes and initiatives</li><li>Support <strong>operational needs</strong> during work hours, including investigations and workarounds</li><li>Participate in <strong>quarterly release cycles</strong>, following SDLC processes in <strong>JIRA & Confluence</strong></li><li>Adhere to release checklists, timelines, and team delivery milestones</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Collaboration & Governance</p><ul><li>Participate in <strong>weekly business triage meetings</strong> for intake, prioritization, and status updates</li><li>Collaborate weekly with the SAN team on tasks, assignments, and project delivery</li><li>Work closely with Systems Architects, Developers, and Business Representatives to deliver effective solutions</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Analysis & Design</p><ul><li>Define, maintain, and own <strong>systems analysis and design deliverables</strong></li><li>Investigate business problems and opportunities, including <strong>impact analysis and SQL-based data analysis</strong></li><li>Partner with developers during design and build to ensure solutions meet business requirements</li><li>Contribute to the <strong>design, configuration, testing, and implementation</strong> of:</li><li>Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM)</li><li>SAP solution components (as per architecture)</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Testing & Implementation</p><ul><li>Provide <strong>UAT support</strong> for owned deliverables</li><li>Ensure high-quality implementation through effective testing and validation</li><li>Communicate clearly with business sponsors, leaders, and project teams throughout delivery</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What You Bring:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Required Qualifications</p><ul><li>Hands on experience with the <strong>Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) </strong>cloud platforms or other incentive compensation platforms.</li><li>Experience across <strong>all phases of the project life cycle</strong></li><li>Strong <strong>verbal and written communication</strong> skills</li><li>Hands-on experience with:</li><li>Database table design and maintenance</li><li>Writing <strong>complex SQL queries and procedures</strong></li><li>Analyzing <strong>large datasets</strong>, preferably within investment or insurance environments</li><li>Ability to produce <strong>clear, concise documentation</strong> aligned with delivery frameworks and standards</li><li>Strong understanding of:</li><li>SDLC methodologies</li><li>Business Analysis practices</li><li>Process modeling and design tools</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Ability to:</p><ul><li>Translate business requirements into technical solutions</li><li>Assess system and functional impacts</li><li>Challenge technical designs constructively to ensure business needs are met</li><li>Proven ability to work <strong>independently and collaboratively</strong>, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Note:</em></strong><em> AI-enabled tools may be used to sort applications based on job-related criteria.
