Join our dynamic virtual school team as a School Psychologist with a PhD in Psychology, dedicated to supporting students’ mental health, behavioral development, and academic success across diverse learning environments. As a Virtual School Psychologist, you will leverage your expertise in school psychology, diagnostic evaluation, and behavioral health to develop tailored interventions that foster positive educational experiences for children with varying needs. Your proactive approach and compassionate communication will help create safe, supportive virtual classrooms where every student can thrive. Duties • Conduct thorough psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify students’ strengths and challenges, including working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. • Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on child and family counseling, social-emotional development, and behavioral management strategies as needed. • Manage case files meticulously, documenting medical records, psychological testing results, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal standards. • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts that promote student success within the virtual learning environment. Experience • PhD in Psychology or School Psychology from an accredited institution; licensure or certification as required by NC state law for school psychologists. • Proven experience working with children in educational settings, including special education environments and early intervention programs. • Demonstrated expertise in psychological testing, diagnostic evaluation, and developing tailored intervention plans for students with disabilities or behavioral health needs. • Strong background in crisis intervention, conflict management, and social work principles to handle sensitive situations effectively. • Prior experience providing psychotherapy or counseling services to children or adolescents in school or clinical settings is highly desirable. • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation and compliance requirements.
