Join the team and contribute to what makes AppLogic Networks unique in the market: superior App QoE!    The Role: As a VAS Network Operations Engineer, you will be performing daily data center operations-based activities at one of Applogic Networks’ key accounts. You will use your excellent attention to detail and investigative skills to monitor, identify, and lead to resolution potential issues on a high availability production environment. Issues that are outside of your knowledge domain will be escalated to Applogic Networks’ customer support for further investigation while you play a key role in communicating status updates to the customer and scheduling further investigation activities as required until resolution.   Responsibilities  - Collaborate with Customer Network Operations for deployment, maintenance, administration, and operational tasks. - Diagnosed Applogic Networks equipment failures. - Recommend configuration changes and assist with implementations. - General services as required include installation of software maintenance updates for all Applogic Networks devices and solutions. - Initiative-taking health monitoring of software/hardware issues, Daily monitoring of system health, KPIs, logs, and alarms with a sense of urgency when issues arise. - Working within customers changes management and maintenance window guidelines. - Analyze and troubleshoot critical Applications traffic and detect problems using essential software tools (traffic sniffers, simulators, traffic detection, MRTG, PRTG, SNMP polling, logs) - Debugging network issues using Wireshark, tcpdump, tcpreplay or similar tools. - Lead the analysis/discussion with other departments to solve and prevent issues. - Submitting and escalation of issues into L2 support as needed. - Accountability for Case management and ensure that they are resolved. - Providing consultative support and mentoring other less experienced team members - Positive contribution towards quality reviews for other colleagues and peers - Function as the liaison and advocate between customer operations personnel and Applogic Networks customer support, including the Account Management team and engineering staff.   Knowledge and Skills  Required  - Commanding knowledge of Unix based operating systems such as Linux, Ubuntu, etc. - Proven experience with programming such Python, Java, C/C++, or scripting languages such Bash. - Proven experience of packet level debugging using Wireshark, tcpdump, tcpreplay or similar tools. - Proven experience in virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM), deployment of OpenStack and experience with automation tools like Ansible - Excellent technical background with a strong understanding of networking (specifically IP related technologies) - Good understanding of end-to-end network call flows, as well as relevant technologies and protocols (DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, DHCP, RADIUS, DIAMETER) - Good understanding of cloud architecture (AWS, Google cloud, AWS), containers and orchestration concepts (Kubernetes, Swarm) and tools like Docker, Jenkins. - Experience with SQL databases, network traffic monitoring, or firewall technologies – especially in a Telecom, ISP, or Cable Internet environment. Desired  - Experience of data modelling, DB administration, Vertica, SQL/PostgreSQL, ETL and/or BI in general (MicroStrategy, tableau, elastic search, Kibana, Grafana) - Good understanding in virtual concepts like: NUMA, SRIOV, PCI-Passthrough, Virtio - Good understanding of NFV particularly around MANO/ONAMP - Experience with web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, HTTP, Angular) - Exposure to and understanding web application concepts like P2P, VoIP, WAP, MMS, RTSP - Knowledge of industry models and best practices (e.g., Scrum, ITIL etc.) - Experience with modern web applications using Ajax and REST API’s will be advantageous. - Good experience in Data communication industry with different operator networks for Wireline (Cable, DSL, FTTH) and/or Wireless (Satellite, Wi-Fi, LTE, GPRS-3G, CDMA-3G, WiMAX, GSM, UMTS,4G and 5G) - Good understanding of billing and charging concepts and experience with Online Charging and Policy Enforcement (OCS, PCRF, PCEF) - Hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, and/or operation of network equipment. - Experience in Quality Assurance testing   Work Experience, Education and Certifications   - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or another STEM program - 3+ years of experience in a technical role   Work Conditions   - Occasional overtime or split shifts may be required. - Occasional travel may be required. - Fast-paced office environment.   What you can expect from us ?  - Flexible working hours, hybrid work environment (occasionally may be required to take afterhours call) - Career development and advancement opportunities - Fast-paced office environment - At AppLogic Networks we understand the importance of work-life balance and strives to create a supportive environment that allows employees to excel in their careers without sacrificing their personal lives. - AppLogic Networks believes that a positive and fun work environment enhances productivity and job satisfaction.
