Job Description
Bookkeeping & Account Management
Accurately categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain clean ledgers
Identify and resolve discrepancies with care and attention to detail
Conduct monthly financial reviews to ensure every client’s books are accurate and up to date
Client Support & Communication
Serve as the main point of contact for your clients — small business owners who rely on your guidance
Provide empathetic, professional, and clear communication across chat, email, and phone
Build strong relationships by explaining financial information in a way clients can easily understand
Problem Solving & Ownership
Take initiative to identify and resolve client concerns proactively
Own the client experience from start to finish, ensuring satisfaction and trust
Collaborate with internal teams using tools like Salesforce and Slack
Qualifications
QuickBooks Online Certification is required (active certification)
3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, auditing, or tax preparation
1+ years of customer-facing or client service experience — ideally supporting U.S.-based clients
Excellent spoken and written English proficiency (clear, confident, and professional communication is a must)
Strong customer service mindset with the ability to explain financial information clearly and empathetically
Hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online
High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Additional Information
Must be based in the United States and available to work American business hours (9 AM – 5 PM EST or PST)
Must meet Bench’s minimum hardware and internet requirements for smooth communication and workflow
