Job Description TheTaxManager, TransferPricingis responsible forsupportingthe development, implementation, and optimization of global transfer pricing complianceandsupportAbbViesoverall transfer price strategy,withan emphasis onleveragingtechnology.Thisroleensures transfer pricing processes are efficient and compliant.The Tax Manager, TransferPricingwill work in collaboration with Operations and Commercial Finance andindependentlyleadprocess improvements.TheTax Manager, TransferPricingwill reporttotheSenior Manager, Transfer Pricing. Responsibilities • Support the monitoring of global transfer pricing processes with a focus on operations, licensing, R&D andintellectual property. • Lead implementation of process improvementsfor the TP Groupandsupport through advice onTP Strategythrough use of technology such as Alteryx, PowerQueryand PowerBI. • Assistwithtariff related activities of the Transfer Price group • Monitor local profitabilityof select legal entities and assess options available to resolve discrepancies with corporate tax policies. • Preparecontemporaneous documentationto satisfy local transfer pricing rules, including information and data gathering, status calls with serviceprovidersand reviewof draftreports. • Collaborate with team members on enhancing processes for transfer pricing projects. • Support the tax department on execution of business transactions, initiatives, contracts, M&A, tax controversy or any other transfer pricingquestions and issues as they arise. • Effectively track and managetransfer pricingrisks, including the risk of non-compliance, fornew product launches or changes toAbbViesglobal supply chain. • Maintainappropriate supportingdocuments fortransferpricing calculationsin accordance withtax rules andensuringthat a full audit trail is availablein the event ofan audit.Contribute to the completion of tax audits bypreparing responses toIDRs. • Develop,maintain, and deliverguidance on the correctapplicationoftransfer pricingmethodsand proactivelymonitortransfer pricinglegislation and regulation, court cases, publishedcircularsand policyimpactingtheAbbVie Global group. Qualifications • B.A./B.S. in AccountingorFinancerequired;advanced degreea plus. • CPA certificationpreferred. • Big 4 experiencestronglypreferred. • Minimum of 6 years of experience working in tax and working in a global tax environment with transfer pricing. • Strong critical thinking skills, applying transfer pricing concepts to differing fact patterns. • Mustpossessstrong attention to detail and have an exceptional analytical and quantitative background. • Very strongorganizational skill set with ability to prioritize, plan,self starter,work independently,implementprojectsand meet quarterly reportingand other deadlines • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Third party Transfer Pricing software and/or Alteryx experience a plus.
