Job Summary
Position title: Supervising Physician – Dermatology (Remote)
Position summary: Essen Health Care is seeking an experienced and collaborative Supervising Dermatology Physician (MD/DO) to provide remote clinical oversight and supervision for Physician Assistants (PAs) within our growing Dermatology department. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, supporting clinical decision-making, maintaining compliance with New York State supervision requirements, and fostering a culture of clinical excellence across the Dermatology team.
The ideal candidate is a board-certified Dermatologist with strong leadership skills, a passion for mentorship, and experience working in fast-paced outpatient healthcare environments.

Provide remote clinical supervision and oversight for Dermatology Physician Assistants in accordance with New York State regulations and organizational policies
Review, advise, and collaborate with PAs regarding patient care plans, treatment protocols, and clinical documentation
Be available for clinical consultation and guidance during designated business hours
Conduct periodic chart reviews and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards
Support clinical best practices, patient safety initiatives, and evidence-based dermatologic care
Participate in departmental meetings, provider education, and quality improvement initiatives
Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing development of Dermatology PAs
Collaborate with operational and clinical leadership to optimize workflows and patient outcomes
Ensure timely completion of supervisory documentation and regulatory requirements
Promote a positive, team-oriented environment aligned with Essen Health Care’s mission and values
Qualifications
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology
Active and unrestricted New York State Medical License
DEA license and CDS registration, if applicable
Minimum of 3 years of clinical Dermatology experience preferred
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills
Comfortable working in a remote supervision model within a multidisciplinary healthcare organization
Experience with EMR systems preferred
