Structural Engineer

WPI is a cold formed steel contractor with its own in-house engineering and design department. You will be collaborating directly with the field and operations personnel who are building the designs you create. This department emphasizes a well-rounded work/like balance.

Job Description

The structural engineer will work on a variety of project types involving the design of cold formed steel framing. The design will include exterior curtain walls, interior partitions and ceiling, prefabricated wall panels, and structural ceilings. Major project types include tenant improvements, commercial, multi-family residential, higher education, sports facilities, and data centers. The primary task will be to prepare construction plans and calculation packages.

This role leans heavily on the constructibility aspect of engineering design and will involve heavy coordination with WPI field teams.
