GENERAL SUMMARY

Serves as a senior strategic analytics partner to various stakeholders including Executive Leadership, delivering enterprise-wide financial, profitability, portfolio risk, and operational intelligence to support strategic decision-making and organizational performance initiatives. Leads enterprise profitability analytics across products, member segments, channels, branches, and lines of business to support strategic decision-making. Analyzes member and product trends, profiles, and historical data to generate actionable insights and recommendations for business improvements and initiatives. May lead cross-functional analytical initiatives and provide technical mentorship, analytical guidance, and project leadership to junior analysts and business partners.

Position Duties & Functions

  • Gather, integrate, and analyze data from multiple sources, including database systems, Accounting, and cross-functional teams, to perform profitability analysis across product lines, member segments, branches, and risk profiles. Identify key profitability drivers and make recommendations to improve profitability.
  • Maintain, enhance and apply Activity-Based Costing (ABC) methodologies, profitability allocation assumptions, and cost account processes used to support enterprise profitability analysis and strategic financial decision-making. Evaluate costing assumptions, operational drivers, and business processes to identify opportunities for improved financial performance, resource optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Accounting to reconcile profitability analyses with financial statements, understanding line of business methodology differences from Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Lead real estate portfolio stress testing, reserve analytics, and forward-looking credit risk assessments to evaluate portfolio exposure and potential loss scenarios under varying economic conditions.
  • Support enterprise Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) methodologies through ownership of real estate reserve analysis, scenario modeling, and portfolio-level forecasting assumptions.
  • Analyze and benchmark Credit Union financial and operational performance against peer institutions to identify competitive positioning, performance trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Architect and deliver enterprise business intelligence solutions, executive dashboards, and advance reporting frameworks supporting strategic, financial, and operational performance management through Power BI.
  • Collaborate with Business, Technology, Strategy, and Data Management teams to evaluate data systems, streamline data extraction processes, and develop efficient data structures to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Perform routine and ad hoc analysis for business units, including ongoing monitoring of deposit drivers and proactive communication of key trends, risks, and insights to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict loan growth, deposit trends, and member behavior patterns in support of strategic and operational planning.
  • Provide analytical and reporting support across various Credit Union departments and initiatives based on organizational priorities and business needs.
  • Serve as a key analytics partner supporting enterprise strategic planning, and executive decision-support initiatives including corporate metric development, and optimization of the enterprise data warehouse to enhance organizational reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • Support member experience initiatives through analysis of survey feedback and member insights.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts while collaborating across the Business Analytics team on shared projects, cross-functional initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Utilize advanced analytics platforms and tools, including Databricks, to develop data-driven insights, improve analytical efficiency, and support strategic business solutions.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives.

Zone 1: $93,936.00 - $129,162.00

Zone 2: $85,481.76 - $117,537.42

Zone 3: $78,906.24 - $108,496.08

Zone 4: $75,148.80 - $103,329.60

This position is eligible to participate in the Corporate Incentive Plan. Annual incentive opportunity ranges from 0–8% of incentive eligible earnings, based on a combination of institutional performance (0–2%) and individual performance (0–6%). Incentive payments are discretionary and subject to approval.
