A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in telespeech services within a school setting located in Long Beach, CA. This role involves delivering virtual speech therapy to students, utilizing telepractice methods to support communication development and address speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct evaluations and assessments of speech, language, and communication disorders via teletherapy platforms
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students specific needs
• Provide direct therapeutic intervention through virtual sessions, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with educators and other professionals to integrate speech goals into the broader educational plan
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports consistent with state and federal guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
• Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure
• Experience with telepractice and virtual therapy delivery in an educational environment
• Knowledge of current assessment tools and evidence-based therapeutic techniques
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage children in an online setting
• Familiarity with school policies and educational regulations pertaining to special education services
