A contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Early Childhood education. This role is based in Wilmington, DE, and is scheduled to start on February 17, 2026, ending June 11, 2026. The position requires working 37.5 hours per week, with a 30-minute paid lunch break. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver specialized instruction and support to early childhood students with diverse learning needs. • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's abilities. • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student development. • Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation as required. • Ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment conducive to early childhood special education. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Valid Delaware teaching license in either Special Education or Early Childhood Education; dual licensure preferred. • Experience working with early childhood populations in educational settings. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to manage a caseload focused on Early Childhood Special Education. • Commitment to maintaining up-to-date certification and compliance with state requirements.
