Site Lead Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Lead Electrician to join our team.  This is a Remote position, preferably located in central Ohio or within a triangle between Columbus, Ft Wayne, and Toledo.  The ideal candidate will possess a Journeyman or Master Electrician License, extensive experience with PLC controls installation, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.   This role requires a willingness to travel up to 80% of the time and strong leadership skills to effectively coordinate and manage project teams. Job Purpose: The Site Lead Electrician is responsible for onsite supervision of electrical installation projects. The Site Lead Electrician works directly under the supervision of the Installation Manager. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Coordinate with the Installation Manager to assign and inspect the work of onsite electricians and trade helpers. • Initiate corrective actions to ensure satisfactory standards and timely project completion is met • Plan and develop work schedules, equipment usage, and ensure material is on site when needed • Be a role model in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity • Understand and apply the National Electrical code • Interface and communicate with customers to answer questions about the NorthWind scope of work • Troubleshoot electrical issues Knowledge and Skill Requirements: • Knowledge of wiring of motors, switches, circuit breakers and fuse boxes operating on AC/DC control systems is required • Knowledge in the installation of electrical panel boards, load centers, conduit, conductors, power transformers • Knowledge of safety procedures when working with electrical systems required • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade • Understanding of controls, blueprint reading, and use of computer required • Must have a good work ethic and attention to detail Required Qualifications: 4+ years’ experience required Journeyman's License Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus) Preferred Characteristics: • Ability to build effective relationships that are focused on integrity and trust • An attitude of dedication to achieve professional success • A focus on serving internal and external customers with respect, understanding, and empathy • Ability and willingness to recognize the intrinsic value of every person • Drive and curiosity to explore new technology and innovation for continued growth and improvement Physical Abilities/Work Environment: Includes but is not limited to the following: • Climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and finger mobility • Lifting up to 50 pounds of force • Working outdoors in adverse conditions, around noises, or hazards present on construction sites
