Shopify Developer – Health & Wellness

Job Description: • Stonehenge Health is a California-based health and wellness brand supporting elevated wellness routines. • Develop and maintain Shopify storefronts, landing pages, and other digital environments. • Support technical enhancements and optimized shopping experiences delivering five-star customer experiences. • Collaborate and contribute to shaping the future of the e-commerce strategy for health, wellness, and beauty brands. • Stay current with industry trends and provide recommendations for improvements. Requirements: • Shopify/Frontend Development, Management & Performance Optimization • Build, customize, and optimize Shopify themes and landing pages using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including frameworks like React.js or Vue.js), and JSON. • Ensure all digital environments are developed with a mobile-first approach, prioritizing load times and optimizing content settings for speed. • Stay current with e-commerce trends, Shopify platform updates, emerging technologies, and new tools that can enhance the customer journey and overall site performance. • Continuously refine checkout processes, upsells, cross-sells, and subscription models to improve conversion rates, increase average order values, and other targeted KPIs. • Implement sustainable coding practices. • Collaborate and support cross-functional team requests. • Recommend and support the integration and maintenance of industry-leading Shopify apps and vendor platforms to improve overall performance.(e.g., ReCharge, Klaviyo, ReBuy, AfterSell, Okendo). • Translate wireframes and concepts into functional, visually appealing interfaces in collaboration with designers and developers. • Ensure brand consistency and quality across all design elements and site functionalities. • QA, Testing, and Maintenance • Participate in peer reviews and test cycles to ensure code quality and proper functionality before deployment. • Conduct regular storefront and landing page audits & resolve issues in a timely manner. • Support version control protocols using Git and CI/CD tools for staging and deployment. • Assist in site monitoring and debugging performance issues or customer-reported bugs. • Utilize Shopify Analytics, GA, & other tools to monitor site performance & user behavior. • Develop and implement A/B tests to evaluate design and functionality. • Utilize A/B testing and data-driven insights to enhance digital experiences continually. • Support the implementation and maintenance of security best practices, including regular updates, backups, and vulnerability assessments. • Support contingency plans to address data breaches, downtime, or system failures. • Support compliance practices by implementing and maintaining global regulations, such as ADA, GDPR, CCPA, and PCI-DSS standards across digital environments. • Prioritize accessibility compliance (WCAG) to provide inclusive shopping experiences. • Technical Skills • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Shopify theme development (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS). • Familiarity with Shopify Admin API and GraphQL API. • Experience with Single Page Application principles. Experience with frontend frameworks (Vue, React) is a plus. • Proficient in responsive design, mobile optimization, and SEO best practices. • Experience with tools like Git and CI/CD workflows. • Understanding of accessibility compliance (WCAG), cross-browser/device testing, and best practices for ensuring fast and scalable websites. • Soft Skills • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. • Attention to detail and commitment to quality execution. • Proactive learner with a growth mindset. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment. • Self-organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. • Preferred & Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Required: 3–5 years of experience in Shopify development. • Portfolio of Shopify storefronts and landing pages or similar projects. • Familiarity with e-commerce health/wellness or supplement brands is a plus. • Experience with third-party e-commerce apps like ReCharge, Klaviyo, Yotpo, or Rebuy. • Shopify certifications or coursework preferred.
