The Services Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting the growth ofLayerZero’s service business by managing inbound service requests, preparing quotes,coordinating with field service teams, and ensuring customers receive timely, accurate,and professional support. This role sits at the intersection of customer service, technicalunderstanding, and operational coordination.You will work closely with Service Operations, Field Service, Engineering, and CustomerSuccess to ensure customers have a seamless experience from initial inquiry throughservice delivery.Key Responsibilities:Customer Engagement & Sales Support• Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound service inquiries, quotes, and renewals.• Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate service offerings(PMs, upgrades, repairs, commissioning, training, etc.).• Prepare and deliver accurate service quotes, proposals, and orderconfirmations.• Follow up on open quotes, track status, and support conversion to scheduledwork.• Maintain a high level of proactive responsiveness and professionalism in allcustomer interactions.• Keep the bid board current with all quotation activityOperational Coordination• Hand over orders to Service Operations to schedule field service techniciansand align availability with customer timelines.• Ensure all required information (site details, safety requirements, equipmentlists, PO status) is collected before scheduling.• Coordinate with Supply Chain when parts or materials are required forservice work.• Track service orders from quote through completion, ensuring nothing fallsthrough the cracks.Data, Systems & Documentation:• Enter and maintain accurate customer, quote, and order data in CRM andERP systems.• Maintain visibility into service backlog, open quotes, and upcoming renewals.• Support reporting on quote volume, win/loss trends, and service revenuepipeline.• Ensure all documentation (SOWs, service reports, commissioning forms) isproperly stored and accessible.Cross Functional Collaboration:• Partner with Engineering and Field Service Leadership to understandtechnical requirements and scope service work accurately.• Collaborate with Customer Success on customer escalations or complexservice needs.• Provide feedback to leadership on recurring customer issues, product trends,or service opportunities.Qualifications: Required• 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, servicecoordination, or a related role.• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical informationinto customer friendly language.• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.• Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.Preferred• Experience in manufacturing, electrical equipment, industrial services, ortechnical service environments.• Familiarity with quoting processes, service contracts, or field serviceoperations.• Ability to read or interpret basic technical documentation (equipment lists,serial numbers, service scopes).Performance Indicators:• Quotes are accurate, timely, and aligned with service standards.• Customers feel supported, informed, and confident in LayerZero’s serviceorganization.• Field service teams receive complete, accurate information before arrivingonsite.• Service revenue grows through consistent follow up and strong customerrelationships.• Internal teams view you as a reliable, organized, and proactive partner.
