About careerzynith
careerzynith is a global leader in advanced robotics, automation, and sustainable packaging solutions. With a relentless focus on innovation, careerzynith designs and delivers cutting‑edge hardware, software, and material technologies that power some of the world’s most complex fulfillment networks. Our mission is to create intelligent, eco‑friendly systems that move goods faster, safer, and with a smaller environmental footprint. As part of careerzynith’s Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) division, you will join a forward‑thinking team that shapes the future of industrial automation, autonomous vehicles, robotic cells, and next‑generation packaging materials.
Role Overview
We are seeking an outstanding Quality Assurance Engineer – Virtual & Simulation Testing to lead the development of high‑fidelity virtual platforms that enable end‑to‑end validation of new solutions before they ever touch a physical prototype. In this role, you will partner with product development teams, manual QA groups, and internal customers—including operations, maintenance, process engineering, and supply chain—to ensure that every new robot, sorting system, or packaging innovation meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and sustainability.
This position sits at the intersection of software simulation, hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) testing, and systems integration, offering a unique opportunity to influence product strategy, drive cross‑functional collaboration, and accelerate time‑to‑market for breakthrough technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain virtual testing environments that incorporate real‑world software stacks, control algorithms, and material models to achieve near‑production fidelity.
- Lead the creation of simulation‑based test plans that validate system‑level requirements across hardware automation, software applications, and packaging material compatibility.
- Coordinate with product teams to translate design specifications into virtual test scenarios, ensuring that every feature is exercised under realistic operating conditions.
- Synchronize virtual and physical testing efforts with the QA Manual Testing and Requirements team, providing seamless hand‑offs and consistent defect tracking.
- Engage internal customers (Operations, RME, ACES, Process Engineering, Ops Engineering, WW Design, etc.) to gather feedback, refine quality standards, and align simulation outcomes with real‑world expectations.
- Identify, analyze, and prioritize defects discovered in simulation, recommending corrective actions and collaborating with engineering teams to implement fixes.
- Develop and automate HIL test rigs that execute large‑scale experiments, leveraging real automation software to drive hardware components within a virtual context.
- Establish quality metrics and standards for virtual testing, documenting best practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
- Drive continuous improvement by integrating Design‑of‑Experiments (DoE) methodologies, statistical analysis, and machine‑learning techniques to accelerate insight generation.
- Maintain documentation of simulation models, test procedures, and results to support audits, knowledge transfer, and future reuse.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience working with large, cross‑functional engineering teams on modelling, simulation, testing, integration, or quality assurance.
- Demonstrated expertise in fulfillment‑system technologies, including storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation, and related automation hardware.
- Proven ability to develop and execute high‑fidelity simulations that incorporate real software, control loops, and hardware models.
- Strong time‑management skills with a track record of meeting aggressive project deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of dissecting complex system interactions and root‑causing defects.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 70 % of the time to business locations, project sites, and customer facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, high‑speed packaging technologies, and robotic systems.
- Background in hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) testing, real‑time simulation, or digital twin development.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both engineering and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Project management experience, including the ability to initiate, plan, and drive projects to successful completion.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing safety, environmental impact, and quality in automated fulfillment environments.
Core Skills & Competencies
- Simulation Platforms: Proficiency with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, ROS, Gazebo, or equivalent virtual testing environments.
- Programming & Scripting: Strong command of Python, C/C++, or Java for test automation and model integration.
- Systems Thinking: Ability to view complex solutions as integrated wholes, understanding how hardware, software, and materials interact.
- Collaboration: Demonstrated success working across multidisciplinary teams, building consensus, and influencing without direct authority.
- Detail Orientation: Meticulous approach to documentation, defect tracking, and quality metric definition.
- Adaptability: Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments where priorities shift rapidly.
- Data‑Driven Decision Making: Experience applying statistical analysis, DoE, and machine‑learning insights to improve testing efficiency.
