Senior SEC Reporting Accountant

Senior SEC Reporting Accountant Location: Manhattan, NY (4 days per week on-site) Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 Must have the following: SEC Reporting, 10-K / 10-Q, GAAP, Banking or CPA Firm Experience, General Ledger Reconciliations, Advanced Excel Responsibilities: • Prepare and review sections of SEC filings including 10-K, 10-Q, and other regulatory reports • Produce financial statements and MD&A support schedules • Perform technical accounting research related to GAAP and regulatory guidance • Prepare journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and complex accounting areas • Perform general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations and proofs • Coordinate with internal departments for disclosure and reporting requirements • Liaise with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and internal audit teams • Support regulatory reporting to banking agencies including FHFA and other regulators • Maintain SOX compliance documentation and internal control support • Assist with internal reporting, investor relations support, and board reporting packages • Build and maintain complex spreadsheets for financial reporting • Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes • Support special projects assigned by Accounting leadership Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred • 3+ years in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) OR 4+ years in banking financial reporting • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements • Experience with SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) strongly preferred • Advanced Excel / spreadsheet modeling skills • Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis • Ability to manage deadlines during close and SEC filing cycles • Strong written skills with experience drafting accounting memos • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities SEC reporting, financial reporting, GAAP, accounting analyst, banking accounting, CPA, Big 4, 10-K, 10-Q, SEC filings, general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, SOX compliance, regulatory reporting, FHFA reporting, financial statements, MD&A, external reporting, internal reporting, Excel, spreadsheet modeling, accounting research, technical accounting, public accounting, banking finance, audit support, financial analysis, reporting analyst, accounting jobs NYC, Manhattan accounting jobs, CPA jobs, SEC accountant, regulatory accounting, month end close, quarter end close, accounting compliance, financial controls Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
