Our client, a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to community development, is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Senior Grant Writer and Foundation Relations Manager. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will play a crucial role in securing vital funding by identifying potential grant opportunities, developing compelling proposals, and cultivating strong relationships with foundations and corporate giving programs. Your expertise will directly contribute to the organization's mission and its ability to serve the community. Key Responsibilities: Research and identify potential funding sources, including private foundations, corporate foundations, and government grant opportunities relevant to the organization's mission. Develop and write persuasive, high-quality grant proposals, including letters of inquiry, full proposals, and supporting documentation. Craft compelling narratives that clearly articulate the organization's programs, impact, and funding needs. Manage the full grant lifecycle, from prospect research and proposal submission to award management and reporting. Cultivate and maintain strong, productive relationships with foundation program officers, corporate giving managers, and other key stakeholders. Develop and implement strategies for foundation outreach, cultivation, and stewardship. Track grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and compliance regulations. Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and ensure alignment between proposals and programmatic goals. Analyze grant outcomes and provide reports on funding secured and overall grant program performance. Stay informed about philanthropic trends, best practices in grant writing, and the funding priorities of target foundations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in grant writing and fundraising, preferably within the non-profit sector. A demonstrated track record of successfully securing grants from diverse funding sources is essential. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills are paramount, with the ability to tailor language and tone for various audiences. Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills are required to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for building and maintaining relationships with funders. Familiarity with grant management software and databases is a plus.
