We are Seeking a Senior Finance and Operations Leader to join our growing team.
The Finance & Operations Leader will have integral leadership responsibilities within the Finance Team of the Arrowhead Programs Division of Brown & Brown Insurance, in accordance with established company practices and procedures, including, but not limited to: Month End Close, Internal Controls, Accounting Projects and Technical Accounting Guidance
How You Will Contribute
• Lead and assist with various projects within the Programs division, both at the Regional and Divisional level.
• Review accounting processes and recommend changes or improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Leverage software automation for process efficiencies.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Manage accounting operations including, but not limited to, monthly closing, management reporting, KPIs and internal controls.
• Develop, prepare, implement, and ensure compliance with internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting operations to align with corporate internal audit guidelines.
• Review monthly CSA's effectiveness within the Brown & Brown control environment. Function as a resource to the offices you review utilizing a solid understanding of company accounting guidelines, control processes, and systems (financial and agency management).
• Assist with due diligence and acquisition integration as appropriate.
• Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders (such as PCLs, Team Leaders, Functional Owners, Corporate Finance, Team Resources, IT, etc.)
• Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education.
• All other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful
• 8+ years' experience in accounting or financial leadership role.
• Proven leadership in managing and developing a team.
• Experience in delivering projects and initiatives that deliver measurable financial results with a focus on driving organic growth.
• Proven ability to effectively interact with leadership in a dynamic environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including but not limited to, Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Master’s degree (preferred)
• CPA (preferred)
• Workday financials experience (preferred)
Pay Range
$150,000 - $160,000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
