Role Summary
The Senior Enterprise Architect provides strategic and technical leadership across enterprise architecture domains. The role is responsible for defining and governing future-state architecture spanning business, data, application, security, and infrastructure domains while ensuring alignment with modernization initiatives and enterprise priorities.
This includes oversight of large-scale infrastructure programs such as network modernization, cloud adoption, digital workplace initiatives, and service delivery transformation, while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and suitable for remote and distributed operating environments.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain enterprise architecture strategy, principles, and target-state architecture across business, data, application, and technology domains
Develop and maintain multi-year architecture roadmaps aligned to enterprise priorities
Provide oversight and direction to solution, data, network, security, and systems architects
Review, validate, and guide architectural designs and deliverables to ensure quality and alignment with enterprise standards
Mentor and support architecture and technical resources to strengthen enterprise architecture capability
Lead architecture for major infrastructure initiatives including fibre expansion, satellite connectivity, and cloud transformation
Establish and enforce architecture standards, patterns, and reference architectures
Support architecture review board processes and enterprise intake governance
Act as the senior technical authority for enterprise-level projects and initiatives
Support development of business cases, cost models, and funding submissions
Lead enterprise architecture for cloud adoption, hybrid infrastructure, and modern digital platforms
Provide architectural input into procurement strategies, RFP development, and evaluation processes
Identify and assess architectural risks including technical debt, security exposure, and scalability limitations
Provide strategic advisory services to senior leadership and stakeholders

Requirements
Qualifications
Education and Certifications
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Enterprise architecture certification such as TOGAF considered an asset
Cloud architecture certification such as Azure or AWS considered an asset
Experience
10+ years of progressive experience in IT, including significant experience in enterprise architecture or senior architecture roles
Demonstrated experience developing enterprise architecture strategies, target-state models, and multi-year roadmaps
Experience leading or supporting large-scale modernization initiatives including infrastructure, cloud, or digital transformation
