Our client, a prominent and innovative banking institution, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to play a crucial role in driving technology initiatives within their diverse financial services operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US . This hybrid role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, focusing on the development and enhancement of core banking systems, digital platforms, and customer-facing applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of banking processes, regulatory requirements, and a proven ability to translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications. Responsibilities: Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for technology projects within the banking and finance domain. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases. Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews. Analyze and document current state processes and identify opportunities for improvement and re-engineering. Translate business needs into technical requirements for development teams. Support the testing phases (UAT, SIT) by defining test scenarios and assisting with test case development and execution. Assess the impact of proposed changes on existing systems and business processes. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clear understanding of requirements and solutions. Contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and change management activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant focus on the banking and financial services industry. Proven experience with core banking systems (e.g., FIS, Fiserv, Jack Henry) or digital banking platforms. Strong understanding of retail banking products, services, and operations (e.g., loans, deposits, payments, online/mobile banking). Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments. Expertise in requirements elicitation techniques and documentation tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio). Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the financial industry is a plus.
