About the position As a Senior Accountant on our Client Accounting & Advisory Services team, you will play a key role in developing relationships and contributing to the continued success of our clients by managing and supporting their accounting functions. tYour primary responsibilities will include overseeing transactional and general ledger accounting, preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.tYou will work with a variety of clients across multiple industries including manufacturing, services, construction, real estate, not-for-profit, and government. tThis role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career and expand your expertise through the diverse challenges and opportunities presented by each client. This position is based in our White Bear Lake or Saint Paul office with the option to work hybrid or remote after six months. tCandidates must reside in the greater St. Paul/Minneapolis area. Responsibilities • Manage and oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reports. • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports for clients. • Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. • Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations. • Supervise transactional accounting processes and ensure compliance with internal controls. • Collaborate with clients to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations. • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field • 5+years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger and financial statement preparation • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills • Strong organizational and project management skills • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously Nice-to-haves • CPA designation or progress toward CPA designation • Experience with payroll processing and tax report filing • Knowledge of sales taxes and filing requirements • Experience in construction accounting • Experience with government and not-for-profit Benefits • Medical, Dental, and Vision plans • HSA and FSA • Voluntary Long-Term Disability • Company paid Short-Term Disability • Paid parenting leave • 401k plan with company match after 6 months of service Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
