Overview
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Sales Specialist to join a growing specialty pharmacy organization. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing provider relationships, driving prescription referrals, and expanding market presence within assigned territories.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with healthcare sales experience who understands the nuances of specialty medications and patient-centric care.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain relationships with physicians, clinics, and healthcare providers to drive prescription referrals
• Educate providers and staff on specialty pharmacy services, treatment options, and patient support programs
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territory
• Execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue and referral targets
• Conduct in-person visits, presentations, and follow-ups with key stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal teams (pharmacists, patient services, reimbursement specialists) to ensure seamless patient onboarding
• Stay informed on industry trends, therapeutic areas, and competitive landscape
• Track activity and performance using CRM tools and provide regular reporting
Qualifications
• 2+ years of healthcare, pharmaceutical, or specialty pharmacy sales experience preferred
• Must have a book of business in any disease state
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Ability to navigate complex healthcare environments and decision-makers
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
