About the Role The newly created role of Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading and executing the U.S. commercial strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth and market expansion in your region. This role oversees Regional Sales Managers and the broader field sales organization, ensuring alignment with company objectives, dealer network development, and revenue targets. For their territory, the Sales Director will define sales strategies, optimize dealer performance, expand market share, and strengthen key customer and partner relationships. This position requires a strategic leader with strong business acumen, deep agricultural industry expertise, and the ability to build and scale a high-performing sales organization within a fast-growing ag-tech company. Responsibilities • Develop and execute the regional sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and long-term market penetration goals • Lead, mentor, and manage Regional Sales Managers, Demo teams and Pre-Sales, fostering accountability, performance excellence, and professional development • Work closely with After-Sales and Agronomy teams to ensure strong product demonstrations, customer onboarding, and post-sale support excellence • Drive dealer network expansion and optimization, identifying high-potential partners and ensuring strategic geographic coverage • Oversee pricing strategy, commercial policies, and contract negotiations to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive positioning • Establish clear KPIs and performance metrics for the sales organization and monitor progress through CRM and reporting tools • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing to align campaigns, product launches, and messaging with sales objectives • Represent the company at key industry events, trade shows, and strategic customer meetings to elevate brand visibility and strengthen market presence • Provide regular forecasting, pipeline visibility, and market intelligence to senior leadership • Frequent travel within region with occasional North America and international travel Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in business, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or related field • Ten or more years of progressive sales leadership experience within agricultural equipment, ag-tech, or related industries • Proven experience managing multi-state or national sales teams • Experience working within dealer-based distribution models • Must have a deep understanding of the cropping systems within assigned region • Strong knowledge of agricultural equipment and machinery markets • Knowledge in Agronomy related to weeding in field crops is a plus • Existing contacts and relationships within the industry are a plus • Must have a clean driving record • Must have a passport for international travel • Proven leadership ability with a track record of building and scaling high-performing sales teams • Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities • Excellent negotiation and commercial decision-making skills • High degree of independence, reliability, and initiative • Driven individual with systematic, goal-oriented working methods • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, with clear & consistent communication • Computer skills.
