The Role
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Professional to join our Vulnerable Customer Support team. As a Vulnerable Customer Support Specialist, you'll be working with customers who are experiencing financial difficulties, mental health challenges, or other vulnerabilities. Your role will involve providing empathetic and supportive communication, helping customers to navigate our products and services, and connecting them with external resources and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to vulnerable customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a sensitive and empathetic manner.
- Work closely with customers to understand their financial situations, identify areas of concern, and develop personalized solutions.
- Escalate complex cases to senior team members or external experts as needed, ensuring that customers receive the support they need.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement processes and procedures that support vulnerable customers.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as mental health, financial inclusion, and customer support.
Requirements:
- Experience working with vulnerable customers, either in a customer-facing role or in a related field such as social work or counseling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
- Strong empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing competing demands.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a financial services or related industry.
