Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LHH is partnering with a media client to recruit a Writing and Editorial Manager for a fully remote role in the US. This position involves leading brand communications and content strategy while managing a small writing team, with a focus on aligning the brand voice across various platforms and collaborating with senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead brand steward and voice advocate for written content and communications for the brand, working closely with cross-functional teams and departments to align content strategy and voice with integrated goals
- Lead a small team of direct reports, guiding hiring, performance management and department priorities; Serve as an editorial resource and SME in the brand voice and guidelines to integrated teams
- Work closely with senior leaders within the organization and partner media personalities to curate content and materials that align with company goals and individual brands
- Write, edit and scope content projects for the brand, delivering finalized work that is aligned with campaign or larger project goals
- Advocate for brand and voice guidelines that further the company’s mission, reach and impact
Skills
- 10 years of combined writing, editorial, content and/or communications experience
- Interest in or passion for entertainment, media, wellness or similar consumer spaces, required
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a high level of grammar, diction and editing skill
- Deep knowledge of integrated content and communications, with experience writing and editing digital content, campaigns, thought leadership materials, scripts and similar
- Experience leading small teams of direct reports and serving as a senior-level editing resource
- Strong understanding of SEO and GEO to drive traffic through organic content
- Experience partnering closely with senior leaders to scope thought leadership content
- Management experience at some level is required for consideration
- Experience in the wellness space is strongly preferred
- Industry experience in entertainment, media, wellness or similar consumer spaces, strongly preferred
