Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Carter Lumber is seeking a Wall Panel Designer responsible for designing plans for the quoting and production of wall panels. The role involves creating accurate drawings based on customer blueprints and ensuring that design standards are met throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Creates design illustrations based from blueprints to produce working drawings for fabrication
- Completes and finalizes designs for production and assembly
- Evaluates designs to ensure that design standards are being met
- Reviews and analyzes specifications, blueprints, engineered drawings and related designs to determine factors affecting design of the wall panels
- Communicates with production teams, customers and Store Managers to ensure designs are accurate throughout the process
- Assists stores in responding to questions/concerns from customers
Skills
- Experience in designing residential and commercial wall panels
- General computer knowledge
- Experience with MiTek and/or equivalent wall panel design software
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
- Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work
- Efficient and able to complete orders within a given deadline
- Knowledge of standard construction practices, codes and carpentry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Communicates effectively with team members
- MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE U.S
