They are seeking a Sportsbook Ticket Writer who will provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their sports betting inquiries, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service to anyone who comes into our sportsbooks
- Adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the company and the Nevada Gaming Control Board
- Answer all customer questions to the best of your knowledge or seek to find out the answer in a timely manner
- Try to deescalate customer disputes/complaints and escalate to direct supervisor when needed
- Communicate and promote our menu of sports betting options to customers
- Ensure all necessary compliance (Title 31) paperwork/documentation is filled out according to Company policy and gaming control board standards

- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Skills
- The ability to sit/stand for extended periods at a time
- Must have basic computer knowledge (Email, MS Excel, internet, etc.)
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Obtain a gaming license
- Must have 1+ years of cash handling experience
- High level of customer service
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to do simple math
- Understanding and a responsibility to adhere to all compliance requirements set for by the company and Nevada Gaming Control Board
- Ability to motivate, lead, and mentor staff members
- Self-starter attitude who shows initiative
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift, pull, or push 25 lbs
- Must be able write for extended periods of time
- Must be able to twist, bend, or reach with no significant boundaries
- This position may be exposed to a smoke-filled and noisy environment
- Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence
- Have excellent communication skills and observation skills
- Have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests
- Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English
- Need excellent interpersonal skills
- Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Prior work experience in a sports book is highly preferred
