The Telematics Product Manager will create and manage execution of strategic auto telematics initiatives, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to align efforts with Farmers’ auto strategy.
Responsibilities
- Oversees features of telematics initiatives from business case to pilot implementation and evaluation
- Manages and evaluates program outcomes via analytical analyses to develop the current program performance story and any post-pilot initiatives
- Takes ownership in evaluating next generation technology opportunities in the driving data collection space
- Partners in drafting future development in these areas aligning brand, technology, and deployment strategies
- Researches and identifies competitive landscape and industry, champions tactical and strategic reaction in response to changes in environment
- Coordinates with corporate stakeholders (Legal, Agency Comm, Marketing, R&D, IT, Product Execution teams, etc.) to ensure cohesive initiatives and delivery of program updates and new product initiatives
- Communicates developments across the organization including daily interaction with Directors and Senior Leadership. Identifies technologies which will enhance Farmers’ products or customer experience and delivers on integrating them into Personal Lines
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5+ years' experience in P&C insurance industry with demonstrated additional project ownership over time
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with telematics products (home and/or auto)
- Knowledge of industry trends and future technologies to shape strategy
- Experience in product management and vendor management
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities and projects
- Possesses strong technical aptitude - Experience running and designing pilots and A/B testing
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and develop/lead junior staff
- Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and senior executives
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to take manageable risks
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, math, or related insurance industry field preferred
- Masters degree a plus
