Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LabVantage Solutions, Inc is a company focused on laboratory informatics and technical support. They are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to provide direct technical support to the sales organization, assist in product demonstrations, and act as a liaison between sales and professional services to ensure customer requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Primary focus for this position is to support the LabVantage Public Sector team across Federal and State industry domains, which include Public Health, Forensics, and Diagnostic testing laboratory sciences
- Assist the Public Sector Sales team in fulfilling qualified lab audits, demo requests (on-site and remote), and pre-demo strategy sessions for new LIMS opportunities, spanning both Federal and State laboratories
- Document lab audit findings and contribute to Sales SOW development
- Work with Public Health team, LabVantage Product Management and existing Technical Sales Support colleagues to create and maintain a standard Public Health demonstration system
- Continually improve technical knowledge to facilitate demo maintenance as well as to knowledgeably interact with prospective client IT organizations
- Act as a liaison between Sales and Professional services to ensure that knowledge gained during the Sales Process is properly communicated to the Implementation Team
- Ability to deliver a compelling and clear product demonstration to meet the needs of the target audience
- Attend Industry trade shows as needed in the capacity of an attendee, exhibitor, and / or presenter
- Participate on internal product management teams acting as 'customer advocate' and representative of sales
- Attend LabVantage Customer Training and Education Conference (CTEC) and support the demo room (with the other TSS members) and assist the LabVantage Training team if needed
Skills
- Minimum of 3-5 Years Experience in Laboratory Operations, LIMS, Public Health and / or government Laboratories, LifeScience or Consulting
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting high value software solutions in a small to large setting
- Education or Job experience demonstrating proficiency operating in Public Sector environments, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Research or with Laboratory Informatics Software to be able to show industry knowledge and understanding when dealing with prospective clients
- Willing to travel up to 50% to conduct lab audits, onsite demonstrations, and attend trade shows
- Strong Technical background and a desire to expand current knowledge in areas such as Agentic Artificial Intelligence, Jasper Studio, BarTender, LabVantage Advanced Configuration, Groovy, JavaScript, Java, Web Services, etc
- Knowledge and understanding of SQL, Databases, procedural programming, systems interface and integration, operating systems, networks, and web applications
- Proficient in using Microsoft Windows and Office Suite software
- Bachelor of Science (or Advanced Degree)
- LabVantage LIMS knowledge strongly preferred
- Knowledge of AI technologies is desirable – LLM, Agentic, A2A, Prompt Engineering, etc
